PAP Buying Votes with Lift upgrading

Mr Khaw says the government has approved the lift upgrading programme for several blocks in the Yishun Ring Road area, and it will be rolled out after the General Election.

Mr Khaw says:
"SDP likes to speak more to the international audience than the local people. Have they really walked about in Sembawang GRC? It's a big area, 1,000 blocks. We are doing that, solving little problems here and there, some little some big, wherever we can, we are solving them."

"Voters are like you and me. I am a voter too. I stay in Ang Mo Kio GRC, so I will be voting. Our concerns are always what you want in life. You want to bring up your children, your family. Do you want street fighting, civil disobedience, deliberate breaking of laws in order to attract international attention? How does that bring us forward?"

"At the end of the day, come back to the basic beliefs of the party: sticking together, staying together, moving ahead and not splitting apart and walking backwards."
Dr Lim Wee Kiak, a new PAP candidate, asked the residents:
"Has any SDP member showed you what are their plans? What are they doing for Sembawang GRC? They claim they are interested."

Doing her rounds with the SDP team in Admiralty area, anchorwoman Chee Siok Chin says they will continue to champion what they set out for - transparency and accountability.

Ms Chee says:
"This is not just the first walkabout. We have been doing walkabouts ever since the end of the last election, meeting the people."

And lo and behold, that will create jobs etc and take care of the residents needs? Umm.. a bit too abstract a manifesto (if u can call it that).. i think Singaporeans are too pragmatic for that kind of shit. That can be championed not through an election.

  2. I live in Hong Kah for 14 years, never seen my MP once. For 14 years my flat is painted only once, lets dont mention about other issue. I have a long list of them. With a walk over in this election. We the people of Hong Kah is going to become unwanted children for another 4 years. I really envy those children with Opposition parties in their area. Please use your intelligence on how to make the two Parties to serve you. Be smart, play along with their games to you and your family benifit. I am looking forward to move into your town soon, so that I will enjoy the two parties caring.

I have brought my family member and friends who supported PXX and believe the media that Hougang and Potong Pasir is in a mess. I have prove them wrong, those towns are wonderfully management.

Like they say, if you bring a girl to a party, other girls will be more keen to suss you out. Rather than kill off your chances, you actually make them more keen in finding out about you.

Play the dating game... Vote AP.

    BAD PLANNING - POOR FORESIGHT

It's PLAIN and simple. They are taking you for a fool, using election to solve a problem they created in the first place. AND they are NOT FREE. You are PAYING them to solve their POOR FORESIGHT...

The planners and ministry did a POOR JOB when designing the flats. They should have designed it with stops on every floor. (Is it Mah Bow Tan)

    MRT

Someone already asked them to look into facilities for the handicap and old age, apparently it wasn't factored into the design. (LTA: Mah bow tan was there for some time?)

    Multi-media bus stops?
1 bus stop cost more than a 6 digit dollar sum. (LTA: also MBT?) A simpler one was constructed within 6 digits and looks equally nice.

I fully agreed with the "bad planning and poor foresight".

These people look more like cunning businessmen that caring politicians.

Serve the people? Yes of course. but you must know they are not cheap but cheapohs.

    High pay to curb corruption..LOL.

I give you goodies only because you are so stupid.

I give you $500 and put $1 million in my pocket and you are still so happy....and you will yet choose to let me exploit you once and again and again until your sons and daughters turn to be exploited by US...the ELITE Group.

The ELITE GROUP... doing best in taking money from your pocket and make you work harder and longer until you drop dead, so that they can give you peanuts and they keep the bananas. And then your next generation take their turn to serve their next generation's endless greed.

YOU ASKED FOR IT. You vote for it.

Can anybody remind me if there's still one MRT station constructed and not opened? If so, what's the official reason?
