Tan Jee Say - The best candidate to manage our reserves

Tony Tan, do you think you are the best candidate as the custodial of Singapore Reserve in term of experience and natural characters to ensure that the hard earned money of the people was not lost?

You have been the Deputy Chairman in GIC and had champion the investment in UBS. Many sovereign wealth fund did not invest in it despite but you did it. We all knew, UBS is a Swiss bank with hundreds of years of European ownership. Do you think if she is desperate for fund to save herself would she first approach a fellow European investor of familiar culture to be a partner? The European knew that Singapore government practice a form of "dictatorial democracy system" that would be in conflict to their culture and management system. By investing so much money to be a major shareholder and having no representation in the management would place our reserve at much higher risk? In term of international finance working experience and international investment experience do you think that Mr.Tan Jee Say are better qualify than you? In term of physical and mental energy would you agree that he is in much better shape to take the stress in the responsibility to study and think through GIC and Temasek investments to minimise the risk. GIC and Temasek had make investments that lost $Billions and that also involved you. Would it not be better for the sake of Singapore to have a fresh independent person with international experiences in investment and finance to look into it without fear or favour. Singaporeans and also foreigners who park their money in Singapore are not naive that those within the PAP would have to respect the thought of former boss even your gut feeling say it was wrong.

Dear PM Lee,
do not think that those who do not agree with you are all against you. There are those who want the best for Singapore are not up there to assist you because of one or more of the following reasons:-
1. They are not good in catching the "political wind" so that they can soar like the kite.
2. They do not have the EQ not to speak the truth or things that you like to hear.
3. They have hearts like lion and so speak their mind which could have hurt your feelings without fear.
4. Their minds are not on the $$$Millions that you offer to join your team for it cannot replace the servanthood in their hearts that they were born with - natural.
5. They are born with justice and righteousness in their heart and would not compromise for money, glory or power.

Singapore had many talents but the political system had made connection, obedience was regarded as loyalty and selfishness it's cornerstone that local talents are not spotted. Have not many of our Singapore talents are working overseas or migrated?
