Where is the PAP's integrity?

By: Ravi Philemon

AIM is a PAP owned company. Former PAP MP Chandra Das said, "AIM has been in business for 20 years. It has got cash and it paid the $140,000 in cash", but declined to give details of AIM's track record and business dealings.

The PAP being a political party is subjected to the political donations act; an act which the PAP dominated Parliament passed as being integral in safeguarding the integrity of the domestic political process, and to ensure that political organisations are not funded by foreign elements or sources.

Since AIM is a a business that is 'fully owned' by the PAP, AIM has got to come clean and give details of its track record and business dealings; to give the general public the confidence that the ruling party is not above the integrity expected of other organisations involved in the local political process, and that it is not funded by foreign elements or sources.
