PAP begins search for 2016 GE candidates?

'"One clear lesson which we have picked up from this and previous GEs is that we have to deploy our candidates as early as possible, and in a more challenging environment even earlier than before," said Prime Minister Lee Hsien Loong.'

Dear Mr Lee, it's not a matter about deploying early or late. In the first place, if your party doesn't portray the positive image of governance in the true spirit of public service, for Singaporeans, it's going to make little or no difference. And the type of candidates matter, because whether you deploy them early or late, if they come across as simply the 'yes men and women' of PAP who simply joins to uphold PAP's, not Singaporeans', interests, they will also not receive the desired support from the electorate.
'"And while the new team might come from diverse backgrounds, the should be cohesive and work as a team, he said. "I urge Singaporeans who have the passion to serve Singapore, and believe they have a contribution to make, to come forward and join us."'
Mr Lee, first of all, may I ask you that in order to truly attract those who're sincerely willing to serve the public, the very first thing you need to do is to revamp the overall PAP's philosophy of governance. What I'm saying is for instance, very importantly, reviewing of ministerial salaries. The whole idea should be to demonstrate that the true meaning of public service is really to serve out of true spirit of public service, not because of the millions-dollar payout in remuneration. If such fundamentals don't change, be sure that those you're attracting will comprise of opportunists and money-grubbers. I suppose there're a substantial number of these people within your rank and file.
'They will also have to "work closely with the ministers in Parliament and outside to improve our policies, explain them to the public, to realise our goals for Singapore", he was quoted by the paper as saying.'
By 'outside', who are you referring to? I remember a remark made by VB in defence of PAP's policies shortly after GE2011, portraying the image that PAP believes that it's not so much the policies are faulty, but the manner in which PAP communicates these policies are faulty. How many times do you need to be reminded that you can continue to believe in the infallibility of yourselves and the policies you made, but the truth of the matter is that it's not just the manner of communication you PAP adopts is a failure. Also, the policies in actual concept and implementation are flawed in the first place. Your government, Mr Lee, needs to work closely with the people, by regarding us as your consultants and base of support for these policies. In this regard, your government needs not to explain these policies to us only, but to work in consultation with us.

However, as the increase in withdrawal age for CPF, the sort of replies by PAP ministers over public transportation hikes, etc had shown right after GE2011, it's still gonna be the same all over again: top-down, shove-into-your-throat approach of implementing policies to govern this country. Dear Mr Lee, can you offer something concrete to be more convincing, other than your apologies and all that?
