WONG KAN SENG ASKING WP TO EXPLAIN THEIR POLICIES?

by: Soojenn

"When people look at all these items (on the manifesto), they should look into the details, ask for better explanation on how these policies can be implemented," said DPM Wong Kan Seng.

WKS is asking Singaporean to go into details on the WP manifesto? WKS should instead make the effort to explain PAP policies, especially the ministry that he heads, for the past 5 years; what these were, what have been implemented, the reasons for the scr..w-ups, and what accountability to the voters who have voted them into power in the GE 2001, before having the cheek to tell Singaporeans what to do with the opposition's manifestos, especially with the million dollar salaries that they have been paying themselves.

Singaporeans have been asking for accountbility from the PAP government, voicing concerns, which his party, especially senior ministers, totally out of tocuh with the eletorate, have been treating as noises.

Have any member of the PAP, epscially the million dollar ministers, even made the slightest effort to explain to the public their manifestos in the past 5 years after the last election in 2006? They do not think it is necessary.. they think that they are the elites who know what's best, the party that know ALL, where they do not need to account to the public for their mistakes, overspending of the budgets, losses of billions of dollars, and not be responsible for the over priced housing, shortage of public housing, increased cost of living, loss of jobs for many Singaporeans due to their policies. They tell you what they want you to know, not what you want to know.

In fact, these people who think they are the elites have been making degratory remarks, labeling Singaporeans as daft, lesser mortals, and god knows what else they can think off.

Then they spring us with an immature, feet stomping woman who does not know what to say, have no strong views about any of the policies, and expect Singaporeans to swallow such a low quality person, to coat tail on a senior minister, and enter parliament to be an MP? A role model indeed? Even the woman minister from the PMO office, who herself is a question mark, is out to defend this "role model" using the gender card?

Even more interesting, the PM of the country thinks it is politically correct to penalise voters in the opposition wards, by depriving these constituencies of what all other PAP constituencis received in funding from the government, just because they are opposition wards, and he so states this clearly to a young undergraduate who posed the question.
