Like many citizens who read about news from all the different websites, I think it is very obvious that the PAP is not a “preferred political party”, and with the elections just around the corner, citizens are going onto the internet to express their build up of frustration over the PAP’s policies towards Singaporeans, resulting in total disgust and failure.
Take for example the Yahoo articles, its comments showcase the PAP’s lack of ability and the PAP’s attempts to try and white wash their lack of ability, by singing praise about themselves.
The most obvious part is that they are living in denial of their lack of ability to lead Singaporeans into the future.
Singaporeans being the “minority” in their own country feel like second class citizens, and to compound matters further, we have ministers who say “they are deaf to criticism” and they tell you not to “rely on the government too much”, and on the flip side they try and sing praise about themselves.
This is rather scary when they are so out of touch that they don’t know how they look in the eyes of Singaporeans, it would be better to open up and be transparent and accountable, then to try and pretend that you are delivering and doing a excellent job.
If the PAP said they listen, then take the comments that is provided in The Temasek Review, TOC, Yahoo and other blogs, don’t live in denial.
Also on questioning the opposition manifestos, why is the PAP hiding and only making one sided “broadcasts” and comments through the main stream media, if the PAP wants to be credible, it has to engage in healthy debate with the oppositions, demonstrate to Singaporeans that you are able to prove the oppositions “wrong”.
Right now the reasons are obvious why the PAP does not want to engage in a live debate, it could be because questions on accountability and transparency will surface in that live debate and the PAP will be like a “deer caught in the headlights”
To all opposition parties, in the spirit of Singapore, please do not get involved in 3 way fights, go one on one with the PAP and Singaporeans from all walks of life will vote for you.
Its time Singaporeans demolish the GRC hurdle and ensure we vote the opposition parties, to have enough opposition representation in parliament to help us with accountability and transparency, checks and balances, and to mitigate the risks in having the PAP as the SINGLE POINT OF FAILURE for Singaporeans.
Best regards
.
