PAP Don't Deserve a Mandate

"the time is ripe to ask voters for a fresh mandate to take Singapore forward for the next five years." - LHL

Mr Lee, thank you for your offer to take Singapore forward for another 5 years. However, i feel most Singaporeans will sadly have to reject your kind offer as we can ill afford another 5 years where you left Singaporeans behind to fend for themselves.

The past 5 years, due to your obsession to achieve growth at all cost, you had screwed Singaporeans left, right and center. ordinary Singaporeans became cannon fodder in your battle to grow Singapore into a "Global City". Foreigner investors applauded your policies, but Singaporeans are the one who pick up the shovel and slaved.

No more of this. We are no longer a Monarchy. we are no longer a totalitarian state. We do not need to give out MANDATE to any PARTIES to RULE US!!!

Look at the middle eastern countries. Look at their clamour for democracy. Mr Lee, knows you that the human spirit can NEVER be repress forever. Singaporeans had seen what bearings you had steered our beloved nation towards for the past 10 years. We cannot afford another 5 years under your stewardship.

We cannot allow Singaporeans to become the minority voters in future elections as a person who left his homeland will as easily abandon his foster nation.

We cannot allow existing governing bodies to operate without transparency and accountability.

We MUST vote for check and counter balance within our highest governing house to ensure that any bill being passed will benefit the nation and its citizens, not the nation and its ruling party.

The mandate given by the people of Singapore should not include the right to increase ministers pay and president pay without the consent of the people

Always the same promises - give them a mandate, more good years, together we progress blah blah blah.

The only things we have thrust upon us are more foreigners competing with Singaporeans, more unaffordable HDB flats, more expensive medical charges, and higher cost of living.

And to add insult to injury, they blatantly increased the president's salary by almost a million dollars a year. How atrocious! I am sure they will give themselves another hefty salary hike after election is over.

    Mandate, my foot!
