THIS IS AN OUTRAGE
WE DON'T WANT:
Lift Upgrade? No Thx, my flat's so Old my grandparents moved in straight from farms.
ReplyDeleteA government who can forgive themselves for wrongdoing but will stab you to death if you happened to step on one of theirs shadow!!!!
ReplyDeleteI am very disappointed!
ReplyDeleteI cried after reading your post!
Before you say the truth,
Sometimes the devil wins
66.6% of popular vote..
One day, God will help Singapore...
but will we see that day?
Unless someone dies.....before the next GE...
ReplyDeleteUnless someone dies.....before the next GE...
ReplyDeletedun be dishearten ppl, be global citizens... be mobile...dun just be sillyporean
ReplyDeleteDun base your vote on anger.
ReplyDeleteRevelation 13:18
ReplyDeleteThis calls for wisdom. If anyone has insight, let him calculate the number of the beast, for it is man's number. His number is 666.
Do not dispair... WP do not have the thousands of RC, CCC, CDC people like the PAP do. We must help them.... Spread the words with the articles from blogs. One day, we can swing the 9K votes that is needed to get the victory for WP.
ReplyDeleteGuys,
ReplyDeletego to www.singaporealternatives.blogspot.com to leave a message of comfort and support for the WP team in Alijunied. Goh Meng Seng put up a good fight for 2 years even though he lost.
It is the least we can do,
PLEASE! =)
It's the media...people are disillusioned... Maybe the bloggers can form an alternate media, create awareness and maybe the next time round, we can see something different!
ReplyDeleteOnly you dumbasses think that your blogs can make a difference. Just use them to kow peh kow bu lah, don't expect to change Singapore... IT nerds you are...
ReplyDeleteAiyah. Too bad lah. I support WP, but it's just too bad. Maybe we can help feedback more stuff to them? Frankly the East Coast GRC WP Team wasn't that great either.
ReplyDeleteKudos to Low TK and the Aljunied GRC WP Team. Almost made it.
what fuzzy said is true to an extent, blogs cant reach my 70+ grandma could they? The old outnumber the young.
ReplyDeletethen thank god the next time round my generation will see matters differently. times are changing, and it is evident that the opposition has scored and garnered more and more votes this time round. come 2011, and i'm confident things will be entirely different.
ReplyDeleteQuit whining. The people have spoken. People get the governments they deserve.
ReplyDeleteWhat excuse are Singaporeans going to come up with this time? Face it. You sold your future for the $900 Progress Package, so why are you crying now?
(by "you" I don't mean the author, I mean Singaporeans in general).
You had the chance to make history but you blew it because of fear and a few hundred bucks of chump change ($900 over 5 years works out to 50c a day). Tell me again why you deserve any better?
Hell you Singaporeans are scary. You have shown that loyalty can be bought for 50c a day!
Cut the crap about not having any choice. This election Singaporeans HAD a choice and they HAD the power to make a difference. They chose not to. Serves them right, I say.
Final advice to Singaporeans: Shut up. No one in the world will listen to your cries because you have elected the same bunch of idiots who screwed you over. Suck it up and bear it. You chose these idiots. You live with them now (or at least till 2011).
It is wrong to say that we are IT nerds, It is more like IT savvy and I guess Fuzzy is one too. :)
ReplyDeleteTimes are changing alright, so if there is another media after this episode, there is a chance things will change.
Well let's hack the CNA !We'll telecast to each house hold in singapore!
ReplyDeleteIt might not rich your grandma for the time being.. but i hope it would reach people like you who have ur grandma at home. And it should be people like you to spread words to your close ones.
ReplyDeleteAnd in any case, this should be a vision, a long term goal. At least this is wat we have now bcos we cun own the media. you know, this is the very little bit we can help.
Each single sand forms the island.. forms the country. We cun be hasty and we can never reach anywhere being hasty.. look towards the future..
Is quite sad that those have a chance to vote but they seem to....So they agreed those MP taking those pay is OK,and the work they have done.
ReplyDeleteLet the GOD deal with those wicked people.
i've never felt more disgusted with the PAP than i have during this election.
ReplyDeletetheir comments were disgusting, their "strategies" were absolutely ridiculous and pathetic, and the fact that so many singaporeans still voted for them is really really disappointing.
i wonder what percentage of those people who voted for PAP actually follow politics closely and from sources other than Mediacorp.

eh, friend, u do know that out of 4 million Singaporeans, only 1.22 million of us were able to vote, right? and u do know that out of those, 33% voted against for the opposition, right?
if we calculate, we find that only about 20% of Singapore's population voted for the PAP.
"Singaporeans in general"....LOL. way to make yourself look dumb. the PAP needs more people like you working for them.
I have spoken to many ppl, there are those who are fearful, those that have sons/daughter in civil goverment jobs and those who are ignorant... these ppl form those 60%. So you see why the pap si so hard to beat, they use fear. And we could have won, but those ignorant BASTARD, who got rape in their ass keep voting them in. What's is the logic? There are bastard that not only got rape in their ass, but also support those rapist to rape us. I am truly sad, we lost, so to those ignorant bastard, when the GST goes up 7%, when the public transport price goes up, when the means testing for hospital healthcare become feasible..... please dun whine... Mr Low has give you a good choice, but you throw it away. So just shutup and bend over.... let the pappies screw your sorry ass for the next five years.
ReplyDeleteSo what will you do again? You will get angry for being screw for 5 years, but then a few hundred dollars will make you forget about all those years of being screwed. Come polling day, you will still put an X at the evil party and also encourage your daughter and son to do the same....
You will see, the Aljunied GRC will change again or the evil party will come out with evil plans to stop this close shave at the next election.
if we calculate, we find that only about 20% of Singapore's population voted for the PAP.
ReplyDeletewrong, it's about 40 plus percent.
Out of the 4 mil, abt 2 mil are above 21.
I did not wrote the post, but you are much dumber than the poster. So go join SDP, dr chee need you more.
After this election episode I totally lost all form of respect and confident in ST, CNA, PAP and their lackeys. To think you have to stoop so low to win an election... Yeah, I know, "That's politic" right? I know I know. I also know what is "karma". Karma will be upon you... probably not you u directly but on someone close to you. During thunderstorm careful not to wander outdoor for you might be strike by your own logo.
ReplyDeleteTo local media: Shame on you! I have been following the rally proceedings either in person or by viewing video recording and time and time again, you have proven to me that you are not qualified to be our local media due to your persistent biased publication. "What? did we? That's not true!"... yes, please look in the eye of us Singaporean and continue to act blur or spin your lies. We Singaporean wants nothing more but just factual and fair reporting. Is this so difficult for you to do so? Have you ever done "Summary writing" somewhere down your education path? Have you taken messages for someone else before? Do you have the hobby of taking pictures of yourselves in poor angle, half-closed eyes, poor lighting conditions? Each time I read your publications, my heart dies a little. Frankly, it is a very sad that I have to go online to search for REAL news. Something IS wrong here AND YOU KNOW IT.
It is amazing to note that soooo many people turned up for WP's rally as compared to PAP's turnout and yet, PAP managed to garner more votes. What does this mean? Does it means that people enjoy wasting their own time turning up for WP's rally? I don't think so. What does it mean then? It means that a lot of people vote for PAP without attending their rally? WHY?!? How many people vote for PAP without even reading their manifesto? My guess is that probably there's a lot. Maybe those older or uneducated voters that has problem understanding it. However, if you are educated and voted PAP and without reading PAP and opposition parties' manifesto, compare them and attended their rally speeches and debate, pardon me if I say this but, YOU ARE AN FREAKING IDIOT! Why PAP? Are you:
1. Scared of losing this "stability"? Yes, you will lose this stable feeling of being oppressed and helplessness.
2. Afraid of change? Even if possibility of a likely positive change?
3. Really think that PAP is doing a good job in last 5 years and will continue to do so? Again, please read the manifestos and listen to the debates (or lack of, in PAP case).
4. Believe that opposition is inferior because that's what you read on papers or on TV. It is amazing you cannot tell how biased the local media is. It is like a salesman bullshiting you outright to buy his product that you can't even tell his agenda at all.
5. Working in civil service and you scared what might happen to your career? Please, if they claim voting is secret, how can they penalized you? Does it mean that the 60+% of voters in hougang gonna lead a screwed up career from now on? They can ONLY know which district has how much vote as they count by polling centre and later tallying up the total. In any case, I think you are a PUSSY.
6. You simply like PAP no matter what even if they are more inferior to WP in debate, manifesto, plan, graciousness etc. I rest my case and perhaps you are in the wrong place.
Don't be angry. Education takes time. Don't use online resources. Use fliers and bulletins, etc.
ReplyDeletethose who voted to get struck by lightning belong to the few groups: LACKIES, NO BALLS, ABSOLUTE IDIOTS, THOSE WHO WILL DESTROY OUR NATION in time to come.
ReplyDeleteThe crowd WP draws is from all over the island. Don't NATO. What about moving to Aljunied or AMK so that your vote truly counts the next time?
ReplyDeleteDude, the very fact of all the places that WERE contested, the PAP won resoundingly in all but three places (Hougang, Potong Pasir and a narrow victory in Aljunied). Shows what the average Singaporean thinks of the opposition.
ReplyDeleteWhat do you have to say to that?
You said: eh, friend, u do know that out of 4 million Singaporeans, only 1.22 million of us were able to vote, right? and u do know that out of those, 33% voted against for the opposition, right?
Yeah, that means, by your figures only 400,000 people voted opposition. How pathetic is that? That is not even 10% of the population (by your logic).
Explain that to me, statistics boy.
I am from Aljunied. I voted for WP so did my hubby and parents. I voted for transparency, press freedom and an end to electoral reengineering. But that is not to be. I almost cried on hearing the results and by such a narrow margin. Can't say much for those buffoons who fell for the cash handouts and voted in the pappies.
ReplyDeleteOne of the ways to lower prices is by subsidies.
ReplyDeleteThen what happened when shit like oil booms happen? Either you reduce subsidies or just dry up your country's funds.
Then when you reduce subsidies, after subsidising for years, you get what you have in Indonesia. Riots. When riots happen and ppl get hurt, who is to blame? The Government of course.
I guess the pappies biggest mistake was making Singapore such a stable place. When all things too stable, ppl got too much time on hand to find faults.
Another thing i wonder. Why are y'll so persistant to wanting a change?
ReplyDeleteY'll complain about high standards of living, hike in prices, no press freedom, etc.
So what do want?
Cheap things? Lower standard of living? Malaysia has a pretty low cost of living. Indonesia too. Hey, Thailand is even cheaper. But do you want the same standard? Can you accept the lower standard of living that comes with the lower price?
Can you live with the increase in crime, when paychecks of the law enforcers have to be cut? Soon, you will be complaining again. High crime rates, poor standard, etc.
Y'll will never be satisfied.
At least I want rights that guaranteed by the UN Declaration of Human Rights, including among other things, freedom of speech. How can we move on about other issues if our inalienable rights are not guaranteed that allows us to speak about other issues?
