ReplyDeleteIn case you didn't know what happened to Hillview Residents when they abandoned Ling How Doong for Ang Moh Seng in 1997. PAP won and the area came under SERS (en-bloc sale where you got nothing). The Hillview residents had to bid farewell to their tranquil estate and moved to the new HDB flats (smaller, squeezier and not cheap, mind you) next to the mrt tracks alongside Gombak MRT station. Why? Quite obvious the Hillview area is too classy to have HBD flats. It's full of condos. Looking at your lovely estate, there are now so many condos there too. Plus, there's a swanky $60 million St Andrew village there. So I think the plan is to convert your area into condoland too. better think carefully.
