Hougang needs to remain in the hands of the Opposition

Hougang must not fall to the PAP. Hougang is the Opposition’s stronghold for more than two decades and must remain so if the Opposition hopes to establish itself in Singapore. Hougang must not become another Potong Pasir .

I urge all Hougang voters to think carefully before they vote. One more Opposition voice does matter in Parliament. But the significance is that the “ripple-effect” it may have on Aljunied GRC if Hougang should fall back to the PAP.

However, for the greater good of democracy in Singapore, Hougang needs to remain in the hands of the Opposition WP. This is the very reason why the other Opposition Parties have not entered to form a three-cornered fight in Hougang as they all want WP to win. A win for the WP is a win for the Opposition. An Independent who wins will in my opinion also be considered as the Opposition’s victory.
