Tan Jee Say the hottest candidate in the social media

Four days after campaigning, Tan Jee Say has seen the most gains in social media support, gaining more than 3000 fans since nomination, which represents a 27% increase in his online support. Tan Kin Lian is second with a 22% increase, with Tony Tan a close third with 21%. Both of these candidates have close to the same number of fans and followers – about 4700.

With his gains, Tan Jee Say has a slender lead in terms of the total number of fans, with a lead of about 1000 over Tan Cheng Bok.

While support for Tan Jee Say is high on social networks, the term "Tony Tan" still leads the search engines such as Google Singapore and other News references. However the lead appears to be stalling as people start to recognize other candidates.
