Do not compare the hard life in the 60s with current. Once you have placed food on the table, your next stage will be accountability and transparency. I want stability and choose to vote for PAP. Many people may point fingers at me. But I have been through hard life in the 60's. Have you people suffered from house leaking with drain water, no decent meal that we have to eat the grains that we used it to feed chicken, and also toes sticking out from the worn out shoes? I do not own landed property or big car but I am contented to the living I have now. You people thinking that to have a new ruling political party, but are those people able to run the country? Stable security is what Singapore have to attract foreign investors. If it is ruin at opposition's hand, then you may not have the comfort living you have now, let alone owning landed property or big car! The people are blaming PAP caused the inflation but are you people sure opposition won't cause it? I HOPE EVERYONE WILL THINK TWICE BEFORE YOU CAST THE VOTE!
Then my friend, you are not living up to your fullest potential and will alsys be subjucated in spirit. The PAP's work is complete. We have evolved and the human spirit will always triumph and grow up. The PAP will not want us to do that and their policies have been to keep us "satisfied" and "secure" in material and livelihood. When the cracks show, they simply patch up and try to tighten grip. The nation has moved forward and matured. They dun agree and try to maintain their overall grip and social censorship. Let's mature as a people. The Opposition movement is a start in that direction. There is no guarantee that they will not be like the PAP when time move on but with this political awakening and maturity, we will forever have that choice in future elections! There is no way back now...
