It's up to YOU, Singapore!

I hereby tear and bleed my heart out as I read and listen to the nonsense that I have refused to acknowledge for 7 years. And now reading all these only made me realise even more the sanitised prison cell that I clambered out of only to return to for reasons I cannot push away.

Since I am here, I have seen and heard of nothing but petty school boy rebuttals and arguements that fail to encompass the bigger picture. What is their vision for the future of Singapore? How are they going to improve the country without playing the 'siding' game. And when are they ever ever ever going to realise that it is not about the upgradings or if we are to have MRT tracks and stations laid at a certain area (that is suppose to be provided to us as citizens and not a bargaining tool during election period)!
If our government has the time to sue the pant of people and others who make 'unsavoury' comments about them, should it not be the case that our government be proving them wrong other than sueing? I question the government's intergrity, i question the iron grasp of Temasek Holdings, i question their understanding of transparency and i also question their foresight and passion and love for the people. Do they tear when we fall? Do they even care? I question all of these.

And until then, I will still look over the other side for greener pastures, just like many who will want to leave. As long as i am not appreciated, like many others, and not needed and not thought of, there is no point. Thus, there will continue to be an exodus of the talented and needed which the governing body will not come to admit or comprehend. So much for the future pillars of society. When your building blocks are supported by a swarm of mecenaries, what makes the government think they will stay when troubles arise?

What is Singapore to be left with then?

Do not leave, my fellow citizen. Some gave their youth, yet others gave their whole lives to this country. Some gave their lives. The cost is too great to not say we belong. Yesterday a very old song came to mind...

    It only takes a spark
    To get the fire going
    And soon all those around
    Can warm up its glowing...

I am looking around for this ringtone. Let me know if anyone knows where I can buy one online.

if you haven't already read this book ''Bias: A CBS Insider Exposes How the Media Distort the News''
,i recommend that you read it. it is about liberal bias in the media in the US. goldberg's expose reveals how the media often takes potshots at their CONSERVATIVE politicians (not the liberal politicians) WITHOUT OBJECTIVITY. To most of us who follow the news, this is probably not new. we have also heard LKY talk about how the media in the US often critises n pokes fun at its politicians. interestingly this book shows a certain bias in this criticism..to the point that it is proabably no longer an objective critque (showing both sides of the argument) that one should expect from the media...after reading this book, i understand more why it is sometimes necessary to sue to prevent others from making wrongful allegations against one, especially if ur a public figure like a politician who has his integrity n reputation to uphold...of cos, we have to believe that the courts are fair and uphold justice such that if the allegation made by the person being sued is indeed true, then the person who sues will not retain his reputation n his wrongful deeds will be revealed to the public. but if the allegations made are wrong, then that person who made those comments deserves some punishment for making those unsupported allegations without thinking it through first...the politicians in the us just seem to let this bias in the media continue. it is unfair to them, the butt of it. and the joke is that the media refused to even admit that they showed this liberal bias, and goldberg who wrote an article about it, was ostracised by many of his fellow colleagues in cbs n the media for pointing out this liberal bias....
