All of the unusually stringent including unfair rules and regulations implemented by the blood sucking PAP government are there to protect themselves and their dominance in the government under the pretext of a stringent system to protecting Singaporeans.
In the case of the Presidential Election, each candidate is subject to very specific rules and regulations on how they can campaign, how much they can spend on campaigning, opportunity to appear and debate on national TV, etc. etc. While all of these restrictions are applicable to and give all the candidates a level playing ground, Tony Tan will get around these by having the PAP cronies inviting him to speak or officiate at their events under the disguise of a private capacity. Which candidate is not running under a private capacity in the first place?
The unfair and extra exposure given to Tony Tan by PAP cronies are outright unfair in-violation of the election guidelines. Tony Tan has obviously disregarded and knowingly violated the rules and regulations!!!
However, because Tony Tan belongs to the PAP elite and is so strongly supported and endorsed by the blood sucking PAP government, nothing will happen to him. Just like TPL, Tony Tan will never be investigated for the violation nor will he be disqualified to run for the Presidential Election. In the weeks leading to the nomination, Tony Tan will receive even more of such speaking opportunities from other PAP cronies just to make sure he gets all the extra exposures that the other candidates will not even dare dream of.
As a gentleman, Tony Tan should disqualify himself from running for President for the violation but since he is one of the PAP elite, he will never do that. Further, if Tony Tan gets elected (ever) as the President, Singaporeans can be absolutely sure that he will be another "yes man" and collude with the blood sucking PAP government to receive his multi-million dollar annual salary and state benefits. Singaporeans can also forget about having a President that will dare speak up for the rights and benefits of Singaporeans and put pressure on the blood sucking PAP government.
Once elected to office, all that Tony Tan says he will do for the good of Singaporeans will be nothing but empty promises just like what PM Lee did when he campaigned for the 2011 GE.
I agree but Tony tan is highly respected on the public so the PAP people are using him as a figurehead. People should vote for whoever they like with no government leanings as the president has no say in matters of state so I bring this question. Do the PAP need a bloody say in it?
