Simple enough. Equipment is extremely expensive and the military is inefficient due to NS. Training costs and maintaining all the untrained NS guys must suck up a ton of cash.
Would be nice to see a more accurate breakdown of the military bill.
I remember reports from Accountant-General, MINDEF always ranks top when it comes to messy accounts and unaccounted for funds. Nowadays they seem to have stopped publishing such reports.
Of course have to have a 10.6 billion budget for Mindef. How else do you think they can fund the F-15SGs and the Formidable class frigates then
