"MP Teo Ser Luck, 38, does not see the site (www.p65.sg) as a place to debate policy, but as one where MPs can put down thoughts and ideas on just about anything, such as their constituency work and causes they support. "We may share our views on policies, but not to the extent where we debate whether a policy is right or wrong. There are other platforms for doing that, such as Parliament and formal dialogues."| Who Are You Voting For? |

i expect that only a certain k9 specimen name ephriam will now be commenting on their blogs...
Debate? what debate? Singapore policies are decided by one or two, the rest of the gang say, "yes, how high?"
It is just to tell them not to complain about policy.
teo ser luck.
Just another young upstart coming into pap politics - who has made himself visible (and vocal) almost everywhere in the last few months, from triathlons to chingay dancing.
As luck (pun intended) would have it, Singapore politics is full of other pap upstarts who have fallen by the wayside.
So don't talk too much, teo.
PAP upstarts depend too much on the PAP's support to float them through the ranks and into political office. consequently they lack the political skills to survive on their own once in office. many fail.
can someone tell him his statement is oxymoronic? he should change "share our views on policies" to "fall over ourselves to pander to the party line and show our support on policies".
cos' according to what he said, if your view is differing from the others, it will be construed as debate and hence, is the wrong "platform" for it.
one would say in other countries freedom of speech refers to many platforms, a blog being one of them but hey what do you expect of a govt that confines its freedom of speech to a licensed & policed corner??
Revolution! Bring down the regime!
If Georgia can have velvet revolution, other countries rose/jeans revolution, lets have the mee siam revolution!
I just asked them these questions: look out whether it would be approved. If they don't....

3) Are you committed to a democratic Singapore?
4) Do you think there is a role for civil society in Singapore?
5) Will you vote with your conscience in parliament?
6) Will you join the opposition parties if PAP doesn’t work out?
7) Do you support the “National Education” propangada?
8) Do you support the curtailment of human rights, union rights in Singapore?
9) Do you support the ban on Far East Economic Review recently?
10) Do you believe in peaceful demostration which every country in the world except Singapore and Myanmer has? Even our neighbours can protest peacefully.
